SkillsUSA Washington 2025 Recap & Contractor Insights
What is SkillsUSA Washington?
SkillsUSA Washington caters to students in middle school, high school, and college/postsecondary chapters statewide, all of which are driven by student leadership. While sharing a common journey towards career readiness, each group requires specific tools and support tailored to their progress.
SkillsUSA Washington provides a range of competitions, events, conferences, programs, and more, designed to nurture personal and professional growth through a customized approach aligned with each educational stage.
How was PHCCWA involved?
PHCCWA played a key role in this year’s SkillsUSA Washington State Plumbing Competition held at the end of March 2025, helping ensure students had the tools and expertise needed to succeed. Our involvement came in two key ways: securing essential supplies for the competition’s bathroom stations and providing experienced contractors to judge the students’ work.
When it came to supplies, two PHCCWA members stepped up to answer the call: Titanium Partner Consolidated Supply Co. and Platinum Partner Pacific Plumbing Supply. To ensure everything was in place for the event, PHCCWA Executive Director Todd personally traveled to each location to pick up the necessary materials.
PHCCWA contractor members generously volunteered their time to serve as judges for the event, which took place at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood. The dedicated contractors who participated as judges were:
- At Your Service Plumbing
- In & Out Plumbing
- Odyssey Plumbing
- Port Orchard Plumbing
- Spartan Plumbing Services
Affiliate member Dennis The Apprentice played a key role in connecting PHCCWA with the event, working alongside PHCCWA Executive Director Todd Allred, who collaborated with SkillsUSA Washington to make PHCCWA’s involvement possible.

By partnering with SkillsUSA Washington, PHCCWA is helping to inspire and equip the next generation of plumbers. Events like this not only showcase the talent of up-and-coming professionals but also reinforce the value of a strong, well-supported industry.
